All jobs in Pennsylvania and across the country hold some degree of risk. The incident happened one afternoon on a day in August. According to reports, a man was injured at East Coast Repair and Fabrication -- a company that works in ship construction and repair. Workers were reportedly attempting to move a tug boat for repair.
Unfortunately, a male employee in his 50s is said to have become pinned between the boat and a concrete pillar. Reports indicate that the man suffered injuries considered life-threatening, and he was transported to the hospital for treatment. If OSHA discovers that safety or health standards were violated in the events leading up to the accident, the man's employer could face fines and/or citations.
