The incident happened just before noon on a day in mid-April. According to reports, three men were riding in a trash truck on an interstate in a neighboring state. One of the men, a 22-year-old, died as a result of injuries suffered in the accident. A 44-year-old man remained hospitalized days after the accident but is expected to survive. The mayor for the city that employed the men has released a statement indicating that the workforce is devastated over the incident.
